01Who they are
Optimum is a workplace-safety training provider serving construction and industrial crews — the people doing physical, high-risk work where good training prevents real injuries.
02The challenge
Construction workers don’t have a computer on a job site. Training had to be short, mobile, and impossible to ignore — safety content a worker could actually complete in a spare five minutes on their phone, between tasks, in the field.
03What I did
Built courses in Articulate Storyline from client design documents — roughly five minutes each, mobile-first, deployed to their internal LMS. Over the life of this long-term engagement I built hundreds of these courses, and by the end I had taken on instructional-design work as well, not just development — shaping how the content itself was structured, not only how it looked.
04The outcome
A large, consistent library of bite-sized, mobile-ready safety courses covering everything from fall protection to hazardous-materials handling — training that met workers exactly where they were, on the device they actually had.
